The premiere episode of “Once Upon A time” Season 6 revealed a big secret about the fate of all Saviours, including Emma. Executive Producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz shared their insights about the character and the mysterious hooded figure she fought in her visions.
[Spoiler alert]
All Saviours don’t get a happy ending, and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will be killed by either someone she already knows or is likely to meet as she tries to help the refugees from The Land of Untold Stories. In the premiere episode she repeatedly fought a hooded figure who kills are at the end of the battle. An oracle she meets explains to her that this is in her future.
If Emma’s fate inevitable? That is the question that will be central to her struggle in this season, Kitsis told Entertainment Weekly. Horowitz pointed out that although it seems like the hero’s fate is sealed; the show remains to be about hope, so there is a chance she will defeat this new challenge.
As to the identity of the hooded figure in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6, it is going to remain a mystery for the time being, the producers teased. Even Emma will be wondering about who this character is who is supposedly going to kill her in the future.
One character who seems to know a lot about Saviours is the villain Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer). In an interview with ET Online, Kitsis said that the character knows about this because he was the Warden in the Land of Untold Stories, and he heard whispers from the inmates. Horowitz, however, said that it is less important to find out how he knows these things, and what is more important is his back story that explains how he became the villainous character he is at the moment.
While Hyde refuses to help Emma fully in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6, she is determined to fight it, and deal with the problems alone. Kitsis teased that her approach of hiding her problems from everyone and lying about it will start to affect her and her relationships.
