Rumple will get a new look in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6. Cast member Robert Carlyle, who plays the role of Mr. Gold on the show, had to grow a mustache and change his hairstyle for another project. While the actor removed the mustache there was very little that could be done with his hair.

[Spoiler alert]

Carlyle had to change his look for “Trainspotting 2” and this look will be carried to the fantasy TV series. This sudden change in the next season will “absolutely be addressed,” Executive Producer Adam Horowitz told TV Line. The producer joked that they will not use the actor’s commitment to another movie as an explanation on the show.

Mr. Gold’s main mission in the next season is to find a way to wake Belle French (Emilie de Ravin) from a self inflicted sleeping curse. She is pregnant with their next child. When asked if there will be any tender pregnancy moments like choosing the name for the baby in “Once Upon A Time” Season 6; Executive Producer Edward Kitsis teased that their relationship is going to be “pretty bumpy.”

Belle and Mr. Gold have had a difficult relationship over the years. Horowitz revealed that there will be moments of “reminiscing” for the two characters this year. They will also be discussing what it means to have another child.

More details about the show are expected to be revealed during the New York Comic Con. Both Horowitz and Kitsis will be speaking at the event. It’s not clear which of the cast members will be joining the producers at the event this year.

“Once Upon A Time” Season 6 is set to premiere on Sept. 25. The title of the first episode is “The Savior.” A new set of characters will be introduced this year from the Land of Untold Stories.
