'Once Upon A Time' season 7 script ready; Cast treated to dinner before shooting

The script of “Once Upon A Time” season 7 premiere episode is ready, and the cast members recently had a table read. The producers also took some of the actors out for dinner before the start of filming in Vancouver.
Executive producer Adam Horowitz teased a picture of the script online, saying that the cast went through a table read. Another picture shows Lana Parrilla (Regina) and Alison Fernandez (Lucy) enjoying a dinner with the cast. The producer wrote in the post that this was a dinner before the cameras start rolling for next season. It is not clear which other cast members were invited to this dinner.
Horowitz also answered a few fan questions in a Twitter Q&A session. One of the changes this year is the show’s air time, which changed from Sundays to Fridays. Replying to a question by a fan about why the change was made, the producer said that “everyone” thought this would be a better time for the show, and the producers agreed.
The other big change is the reboot the TV series is going through. Despite the reboot, the producer confirmed that they aren’t changing the TV series completely, and fans will still get to see some of the main characters in a familiar format of storytelling.
ABC has ordered 22 episodes this time. Generally, it takes about six weeks to conceptualise and shoot an episode, Horowitz revealed. There will be new characters introduced this year, but the producer did not tease details about them. Ruby (Meghan Ory) will not be back this year because she is “unavailable to return,” but the producer promised to try and bring her back sometime in the future.
The first few details about “Once Upon A Time” season 7 may be revealed at the San Diego Comic Con. Horowitz did not confirm the participation in the event, but added he is hopeful of attending. There will be a panel of the show at the D23 Expo.

Act 2s are tough! Always try to use my protagonist as the guide post -- what does she/he want? Stay true to the character...

Never said we're completely changing the show.

Meghan has been unavailable to return. We had hoped to have her back last season. And season before. Maybe down the line!

Eddy and I were sitting around one day and just brainstorming. Talking about fairy tales.
