One Direction's Zayn Malik has left Twitter only hours ago. Fans quickly made #ComeBackZayn and #ZaynComeBack trending topics on the social network, hoping to convince the teen idol to reactivate his account.

Why did Zayn Malik quit Twitter?

The story behind Zayn Malik's decision to quit Twitter has been told briefly in one of the photos shared by one of the fans. (See the image below).

It seems that some 1D (One Direction) haters have gotten into Malik's nerves, prompting him to leave Twitter -- at least for now.

According to Twitter user @BlueJeansAri, one of the things slapped against Zayn by the haters is an old video in which Malik is seen drunk and flirtatious. The 1D supporter reasons out: "He wasn't dating Pierre at the time."

Some of the 1D fans are blaming themselves over Malik's Twitter departure. Perhaps they are thinking the matter had been sensationalized because they kept reacting. Others are on YouTube, hoping to get their "come back" message across Malik.
