One Direction star Niall Horan is ready to move to Ireland for good. Mullingar is the place but he is not going to live there forever. Niall Horan Museum is set to open in Mullingar.

Mullingar is Niall Horan's hometown. The new museum is the ultimate tribute that the place and its residents can give to him. He comes from Mullingar which is in County Westmeath in Ireland. Fans turn up in large numbers to see his childhood home. The local council is now setting up a place for people to come and visit.

Aidan Davitt, local councilor, told The Sun (UK newspaper) that they are willing to honor the bright ones from Mullingar.

"Niall is always promoting Mullingar around the world and has said it's something he would support, as did his mother Maura," Davitt praised Horan's effort to promote the place.

Davitt also explained that fans are so desperate to look for the place where Horan grew up and that they try to locate his family members. They look for Horan's parents in the local supermarket.

"Fans come here every day looking for Niall's house - they also go to Tesco looking for his dad Bobby - so it would be great to have somewhere for them to go," Davitt added.

The museum will showcase interesting and positive facts about Mullingar but the One Direction singer will be the prime attraction. According to reports, Niall Horan Museum will be open for the fans next summer.

The councilor said it would be great if they can display some of the items used by Niall Horan in the museum.

"We would love to get some of his items to display there for fans, as well as interactive footage of his performances around the town."

Like One Direction singer's fans, Aidan Davitt is also proud of the son of Mullingar. "Niall would be the star of the show as our most famous son," he commented.
