One Direction: Niall Horan Sparks Twitter Trend Worldwide, Calls Fans the "M" Word
One Direction boys might find themselves in a pickle, thanks to a Twitter shout out by Niall Horan.
"Love all you mofo's..can hear u singing outside the hotel," tweets Niall at 8:22pm Sunday. Fans quickly reacted to the shout out, with some just laughing it out, while others commenting that the boy band's management will soon delete the tweet.
For the critics, it was a moment that was inviting mockery, especially to the fans. For the fans, it was nothing serious, Niall was just kidding.
#NiallsMofo quickly reached the top of the worldwide trends list, and was still at the top of Twitter trend in Australia while this article is being written.
MoFo is this generation's slang for what used to be such a highly offensive cuss word. The manner by which a lot of One Direction fans are reacting seem to indicate nothing is wrong with what Niall tweeted. Others even say they are "proud" to be the British boyband heartthrob's mofo.
How the management handles this booboo remains to be seen. In the meantime, both solid fans and critics continue to make sure that the hashtag #NiallsMofo continues to trend on Twitter.
