One Direction is currently the most famous boy band on the planet next to teenage heartthrob, Justin Bieber. Obviously, with such popularity, the boys get in on any deals from shirts to dolls. Now, it looks as if Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Harry Styles will be advertising condoms next.

Five incredibly talented and good-looking boys who have quite the massive female fan base are the best way to advertise anything remotely related to sex. This is the same reason why the British boys were contacted to promote and advertise their very own One Direction condoms. So did they really sign on with the deal to sell 1D-marked condoms?

Unfortunately, the boys said no. Why?

"The offer was enormous and even tied into a safe sex organization in the US. It came from one of the biggest brands in the world. While the boys didn't sneer at the money, they felt their fans were slightly too young for this type of project. They are promoting dolls and games, so that is the age group who are buying their products. The boys remain very candid about supporting the use of condoms if asked in interviews," claimed the source.

What could have been a great sales boost for One Direction has been thrown down the pit. Of course, the boys being talented may still manage to sell other products not entirely related to condoms or the like. Despite the boys being dubbed as "sex gods" by some of their middle school to high school fans, the boys think selling condoms aren't entirely a great idea.

"I wouldn't like to endorse condoms because of the jokes that would be made," said Liam Payne to which Zayn Malik had added, "It could be a bit embarrassing if someone gave you your own condoms. But it's good for us to endorse safe sex."

Well, given the boys are still too young and their fans are as well, these advertisers could try coming back once the One Direction boys hit their late 20's. That is if they still manage to make it big in the music business until that time.
