What do Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Harry Styles and Russell Brand have in common? Well nothing much except for the fact that they all have been nominated for the 2014 NME Awards in a special category that will shock you. All these artists have been nominated for..hold your breath.. Villain of the Year award! And they have company in the form of British Prime Minister David Cameron and Russian President Vladimir Putin!

We do understand why both Miley and Robin Thicke are getting nominated for the disgraceful title as they both created quite uproar at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2013. Miley twerked on Robin Thicke's crotch while dancing to the song "We Can't Stop." So who is the better villain according to you? Who will take home the trophy?

There are a bunch of other surprises. The most popular boy band One Direction has been nominated for the Worst Band award along with Imagine Dragons, The Wanted, 30 Seconds to Mars and more. The bashful British awards has also been a little kind to some and nominated Russel Brand, Alex Turner, David Bowie and Pussy Riot for the Hero of the Year category.

Before you start getting furious about all the negative awards, NME also has a couple of genuine awards. Kanye West is one of their favourites and is nominated for Best Solo Artist, Best Album for "Yeezus" and Music Moment of the Year for bringing Jesus onstage during his shows!

"Breaking Bad," "Doctor Who," "Game of Thrones" and "Sherlock" are nominated for the Best TV Show category. The NME Awards is a British annual music awards show by the music magazine New Musical Express or NME. Though the awards that are given are genuine to quite an extent the music magazine does add a little humour to the ceremony by adding some negative categories. The 2014 NME Awards are scheduled to take place on February 26 at O2 Academy in London. Are you game to watch it?
