Barney's New York is definitely getting Gagafied. In the spirit of the season, the store launched Gaga's workshop n Monday-a veritable place where Santa Claus let the Mother Monster herself run wild.

As expected all of New York's chicest were in attendance as well as members of the Haus of Gaga. Most notable was the curator of the whole project and Gaga's stylist, Nicola Formichetti. Also in the house was producer DJ White Shadow who produced several of the tracks in the album "Born This Way."

White Shadow said that he was amazed at the turn out and wasn't expecting the installations to be as good as they were. He also commented on the quality of the Gaga merchandise on display.

"I just was perusing the goods ... and there were some books that were her favourite books, and they have a special Barneys cover. I was trying to grab small things. But there's these hulking giant candles [in the shape of Gaga's head] that you light from the top. It's like you light the candles in the back and then the wax drips down through the eyes of the candle. So I was pretty impressed with it. I definitely procured one," the producer enthused.

Maybe it was the music that White Shadow spun all night or the presence of the powerhouse performer, but the atmosphere inside Gaga's workshop was definitely as festive as the attendees were diverse.

"I totally skirted around all the insanity, [Gaga] went one way and I went the other way. I saw her parents and some friends I haven't seen in a while. There was some very fashionable people there. There was a guy that had a mop on his head - like, legit, it looked like a mop - and then there was people like 17 feet tall with a nipple hanging out, and then there's me, someone who hasn't shaved in five days," White Shadow recounts, giving a rundown of the opening's success.
