Australia's famous koala is sure to make it to the cut when Oprah Winfrey's Ultimate Australian Adventure airs next year. Oprah had a "hilarious" moment with the marsupial when two koalas started mating right in front of her during her refueling in Cairns airport.

"While she was doing it, a couple of other koalas wandered on to the branch in front of her eyes and decided to have a romantic moment together," Queensland Premier Anna Bligh said.

"Not many people ever get to see that and Oprah thought it was absolutely hilarious, so I think we'll see all of that on US television as well."

Oprah Winfrey is currently spending her second day in Australia at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and Ayers Rock Resort, instead of the Hamilton Island, upon the advice of her friend Paul Simon. Oprah and her invited guests then had barbeque on Whitehaven Beach prepared by Australian celebrity chef Curtis Stone.

Her 300 Chicago audience have been touring Australia since their arrival last Tuesday in groups. They already visited the Great Barrier Reef, Kangaroo Island, Uluru and the Yarra Valley. Some of them spent Wednesday night in Byron Bay. A small pack, about 14, landed in Darwin and were flown to an Aboriginal rock art site near Katherine. They are staying in Top Ends and are not expected to move until several days more.

Oprah's ongoing trip in Australia is part of the country's tourism promotion with funding from the federal and NSW government. Tourism Australia, Qantas Airways, Chevrolet, Motorola, American Express and Telstra are among the Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure sponsors and partners, with Channel Ten as its Australian television affiliate.

Oprah Winfrey's Australia visit has sparked a ticket frenzy among Australians, as 3000 people, chosen by online lottery tickets, will be part of her audience in a two-episode show at the Opera House. The eight-day trip trip to Australia and the two episodes are the first Oprah Winfrey episodes to be filmed outside Oprah's home country United States. The episode featuring Oprah's trip to Australia will also mark the start of the show's 25th and final season.
