Oprah tapes grand finale in Chicago
The show’s executive producer Sheri Salata gave out hints on her Twitter account that the grand finale of America’s most-watched television show by the Queen of Talk would in fact be taped with without providing exact details on the scheduled taping.
USA Today has confirmed that Oprah decided to tape and not go live for the final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show for May 25, Wednesday.
The show’s executive producer Sheri Salata gave out hints on her Twitter account that the grand finale of America’s most-watched television show by the Queen of Talk would in fact be taped with without providing exact details on the scheduled taping.
Responding to a fan’s inquiry on the show’s final episode, Salata tweeted saying: "We're ready. She's ready. :-)".
The show’s producer also spoke to Lifeline and she admitted mixed feelings from everyone involved on the show.
"We'll be toasting up a storm. Probably weeping a bit, holding each other tight. And most definitely feeling a sense of closure for what has been such an unforgettable chapter in all of our lives," USA Today quoted Salata as saying.
ABC News confirmed reports that the show had taped Tuesday afternoon.
