Folks in Australia must get their houses ready to receive Oprah Winfrey, as she might stay at your home. Winfrey said she is not "ruling out" a possible sleepover with an Australian family when she visits the continent-country.

Oprah issued the statement in spite of offers from Tourism officials to host Winfrey.

Winfrey told Australian television: "Now I'm going to go look for all those cards I've been saving over the years, from folks who have come from Australia."

Winfrey said that the idea of staying at a "real Aussie's house" appeals to her.

"I don't know who that would be, but I'm not ruling that out," Hollywood's most powerful figure said.

Oprah's trip to the country is part of Australia's tourism promotion, costing more than $3 million dollars from the federal and NSW government.

Winfrey's trip to Australia is in partnership with Qantas and will be partly financed by Tourism Australia's $1.5 million from its current financial year marketing budget. NSW government would shoulder between $1 million and $2 million.

Around 3000 Oprah Winfrey's fans from Australia will be invited to sit in the audience at Sydney Opera House. The tickets will only be available by a lottery through an online registration at Oprah's website oprah.com and ten.com.au opening in October. The show will be aired in Australia in January 2011.
