First Lady Michelle Obama is currently vacationing at Oprah's mansion in Maui, Hawaii and she's probably having a grand time with her close friends, especially the fact that she will have time for herself away from her duties as the First Lady of U.S. However, Oprah's neighbors seemed to be annoyed by Michelle's visit.

TMZ reported that the residents and business people living near Oprah's property are whining about Michelle's stopover because it has brought aggravation to their daily routine.

A Maui resident who owns a business called Goble's Flower Farm told the entertainment Web site that their customers were unable to shop because the security checkpoints were making it hard for them to pass through.

Several entrepreneurs also nag that they cannot operate well in terms restocking because of the road closures that have been setup leaving them short on supplies.

Employees are reportedly arriving late to work too, and it can be attributed to the security roadblocks that have been established.

What is more? Well, the recreational areas have also been affected too. That's no fun, right? It is understandable that high-profile celebrities especially politicians as well as their respective partners deserve utmost security. However, sometimes the ultra-tight security of these very important persons tends to get in the way of other people's lives. Anyway, people should just try to get used to it. Whether it is a high-level threat or a low-profile engagement, prominent individuals in the society will always have bodyguards who will keep the crowds away just to protect them.

Michelle's vacation at Oprah's mansion was part President Barack Obama's gift to her for her upcoming 50th birthday on Jan. 17. Michelle has asked the president if she could have some time off her super busy schedule and he was more than willing enough to grant her wish.
