The Australian described the host as ‘emotional’ as she introduced Patricia to the public for the first time. It was not the first time however, for the siblings to be together.
As explained by Oprah, she met with her sister during Thanksgiving last year. Patricia, she reiterated has been searching for her birth family for years that led to their much-awaited reunion.
It was during their first meeting said Oprah when she knew that her birth-mother, Venrita Lee, gave up Patricia for adoption. The media giant’s newly found sister claimed that she decided to search for her family when strongly suggested by her own daughter.
Patricia admitted she had long suspected that she is related to America’s Queen of Talk but noted she chose to tell her popular sister about it, emphasizing that she never did even consider capitalizing on what she found out.
Her discovery, according to the Guardian, came when the adoption papers matched-up with the events of Oprah’s well-documented life.
