Lauren Morelli, the writer for the raging Netflix show, "Orange is the New Black," has written her own new story. She left Chateau Marmont in LA hand in hand with actress Samira Wiley, who plays the beloved Poussey, acting as "Taystee's lesbian friend."

How did it dawn on Morelli that she was gay? Read her essay in Identities.Mic written in May, which explains how writing about two characters in the series, i.e. Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and her ex-girlfriend Alex Vause (Laura Prepon). It made her aware of her hidden dreams a few months after she married her husband.

As she has mentioned in her essay, writing the first love scene for Alex and Piper made her "nervous," though she admitted that she loved writing it and watching the relationship in which "passion always seemed to be the ruling principle". However, by then she had begun to understand her own leanings, and constantly felt like a "fraud," she says. "I was married to a man, but I wasn't straight," she concluded.

Lauren had been married to her ex-husband, Steve Basilone, after six years of commitment. But just six months before the series began to film, they got married. Immediately, she and her husband filed for divorce. She then began to date Samira Wiley and attended the Emmys, holding hands and attending many new parties. They have also put up some photos together in social media sites. However, they did not exactly identify themselves in their captions.

She confesses in her open letter that "I went through it all on set: I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen. I encourage you to embrace your own narrative, whatever that may be. It will be worth the effort."

The two have posted several photos of each other on Instagram, 'just chillin, you know?' according to lovebscott.

Today, Lauren Morelli indeed looks forward for a new season in her own life to unfold at every turn. It echoes what she said in May: "And now, as we are gearing up for the release of Season 2, it feels liberating and appropriate to live my life in front of you."
