However, the creator of "Orange is the New Black," Jenji Kohan, has no clue how the show is doing at the rating front. In an interview with New York Times, Kohan said "They (Netflix) say things like, 'We're very pleased' ... they're very cryptic," she said. "I'm finding the dark very restful and easy on the eyes."

There is not much information on how many watched an episode of "Orange is the New Black," but the media buzz and updates on social networking sites confirm the huge popularity of this series.

The second season of "Orange is the New Black" is one of the most anticipated series of 2014. As reported earlier, the content of the second season will be "ensemble" in character. It is expected that all the character will get equal focus unlike the first season. The first season revolved around the principal character of Piper Chapman and her ex-lesbian lover, Alex Vause.

"As much as I love Piper and Taylor and her journey, I think people are interested in everybody's journey," Jenji had said as quoted by TV Guide.

"Orange is the New Black" Season 2 promises to be extra rich in content. Talking about the new season, Jackie Cruz, who plays the character of Marisol "Flaca" Gonzales, said to Latina: "It's going to be amazing. Every episode is going to be wow! All I can tell you is that every episode is like Christmas."

"Orange is the New Black" is based on Piper Kerman's memoir of the same name. The second season is likely to premiere sometime in 2014.
