'Orange is the New Black' news & updates: Cast gathers in anti-Trump shirts to say 'F*** you'

The cast members of “Orange is the New Black” came up with a creative way to share their thoughts about Donald Trump. The stars sported t-shirts showing their disgust over the presidential candidate’s sexist remarks.

The Hollywood Reporter states that several actors raised their concern over Trumps recently leaked audio recordings from 2005. In the tapes, the presidential nominee made various lewd and sexually offensive comments about women. In the recording, Trump told Billy Bush, former host of Access Hollywood and Today, that he is automatically attracted to beautiful women. He just starts kissing them like a magnet.

Many cast members of “Orange is the New Black,” namely Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne and Lea DeLaria, were featured in an ad endorsing Hillary Clinton. Lena Dunham stated in the ad that if viewers believe in the equality of women, people of color, immigrants and the LGTBQ community, they should vote for Clinton. Several TV stars from “Girls,” “Empire” and “Scandal” also endorsed the Democratic presidential bid.

Lea DeLaria, star of “Orange is the New Black,” also posted a photo of the show’s cast and crew on Twitter. The people in the image, which included series stars Taryn Manning, Beth Dover and Emma Myles, were wearing black and orange t-shirts with the bold text, “Vaginas Against Trump.” The image also included the caption, “CAST & CREW OF ITNB SAYS F—YOU TRUMP.” The hashtag #VaginasAgainstTrump also started circulating in social media networks.

In the meantime, more women are coming forward with allegations against Donald Trump. A number of women claimed that they were victims of sexual assault, after the billionaire kissed and groped them. Some of the victims shared that they were empowered to speak out after Trump denied his deeds after the tapes were released. Although Trump denied having been involved in any sexual assault, he grew the ire of people everywhere and more stars are exerting efforts to vote for his opponent instead.

The Vaginas Against Trump t-shirts are currently being sold via an organization by the same name. The group was established one week before Trump’s video was discovered. The group stated that they see Trump’s sexist, racist and oppressive ways and are now united with women, whom he consistently demeans and devalues. More updates and details are expected soon.
