"Orange is the New Black" made a spectacular debut, last year. It bagged both critics' praise as well as a huge fan following. The Season 2 of this dramedy promises to be more mind-blowing than the first season.

"I watched our show like a fan so I can't wait for everybody to see that, because that is like, people's minds are going to be blown. I think. Oh my god! It's so good, I wish I could tell people," said Laverne Cox, who plays Sophia Burset, the African-American transgender woman, to MTV News.

The highlight of the upcoming season is expected to be the back-stories of Lorna, Taystee, and Poussey. As reported previously, the upcoming season is an ensemble, as the focus will no longer centre on Piper Chapman. The new season is expected to explore other characters' stories, as well. Piper, however, will continue to remain an important character of "Orange is the New Black."

In the first season finale, Piper nearly beat Pennsatucky to death. As a result of that, she will find herself in a solitary confinement in the upcoming season. Recently, Netflix released posters of the upcoming season. [Check the Posters Here]. The poster featuring Piper has the words, "Ready for Round 2."

Meanwhile, Alex Vause will be seen in four episodes of Season 2 and she will be leaving Litchfield, while a new inmate Vee will enter Litchfield to make the prison a "summer camp from hell," according to Entertainment Weekly. This new inmate will have some past-history with Red.

Netflix is set to release all the episodes of "Orange is the New Black" on June 06, 2014. Jenji Kohan, creator of the show, has said to Entertainment Weekly that the new season will be "a little darker and a little more fractured."
