'Orange is the New Black" Season 2 Features Gasp-Worthy Moments
The actors of "Orange is the New Black" are unanimous when it comes to saying that season two is much more compelling and awesome than season one. They, however, are tight lipped about the new season's storyline.
Following their co-actors' cue, Uzo Aduba, who plays 'Crazy Eyes', and Yael Stone, who portray the role of Morello, have said that the new season contains moments that will make the viewers gasp.
The two said that to Huffington Post at the Point Foundation Honors in New York City. The report says that the two were "super secretive" about the second season of "Orange is the New Black."
When asked what will happen in season, Stone said: "I gasped more."
"Definitely," Aduba added. "There are big gasp-able moments, you're like 'What the -- whatever expletive you want to put there."
Netflix is set to release all the episodes of "Orange is the New Black" Season 2 on June 06, 2014. The focus of the new season will not be just on Piper Chapman and her relationships. For season two, this drama-comedy is adopting the ensemble drama storytelling approach. This means fans will get to see the back-stories of other inmates.
Jenji Kohan, creator of "Orange is the New Black," said at PaleyFest, as reported by "The Hollywood Reporter, that the back-stories of Morello, Sister Ingalls, Taystee, Poussey, Ms. Rosa would be revealed through flashbacks in Season 2 of "Orange is the New Black."
In addition to these characters, the upcoming season will introduce a character called Vee. This new character's back-story will also be revealed via flashbacks.
Created by Jenji Kohan, "Orange is the New Black" is based on Piper Kerman's memoir, "Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women's Prison." In the first season, Piper Chapman, a white-sub-urbanite woman, was convicted and sentenced to 15 months of prison time for smuggling drug money for her lesbian ex-lover, Alex Vause. She was locked-up in Litchfield Prison. In addition to Chapman's ex-lover, the prison also has other colourful inmates, belonging to different racial and ethnic groups.
In the upcoming season, Alex Vause will not be seen in all the episodes, but she will be seen in most of them.
Taylor Schilling had said to Huffington Post that the upcoming season is getting "fuller, richer and more compelling."
