Jodie Foster has directed a scene shot of an episode of "Orange is the New Black." This episode was held outside the Suffolk Theatre.

Earlier, it was reported Lori Petty was joining "Orange is the New Black" for Season 2. The actress will have a guest-starring role in this original Netflix's drama comedy.

"Orange is the New Black" recently wrapped-up the shooting of Season 2. The set Season 2 release date is spring 2014. Netflix might announce the premiere date of Season 2 once "House of Cards" Season 2 is available on the Web streaming site.

Danielle Brooks, portraying Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson in "Orange is the New Black", tweeted Jan. 26, "That's a Wrap for this angel you guys! #Season2 Can't wait for you all to witness the magic that was..." Brooks had a recurring role in Season 1. The actress has signed on as a series regular for the second season.

After the wrap-up, the "Orange is the New Black" team posted photographs on their Instagram account. The photographs confirmed Laura Prepon will be appearing in Season 2. Buzzfeed had reported the actress will be there for only four episodes. Her character as Alex Vause in the storyline will have an open ending.

"Orange is the New Black" is based on Piper Kerman's memoir of the same name. Jenji Kohan, showrunner of "Orange is the New Black," recently said to Writers Guild of America, that this show is "about characters, it really is -- what I think every good show is about -- interesting, rich, provocative, complicated characters."

The upcoming season of hit Netflix's original show promises to be richer, compelling and surprising. The second season will no longer be about Piper Chapman but will also focus on storylines of other characters.
