Orange is the New Black: Season 2 Premiere Date, Larry to Become Little Greedy and Questionable
Netflix is likely to soon announce the premiere date for "Orange is the New Black" Season 2, as the filming is scheduled to wrap-up this month, according to media reports. The new season is expected to be richer in content. The focus will shift from solely on Piper Chapman to equal focus on all the characters, as this drama-comedy will tell 'ensemble' story- lines in the second season.
Talking about his character role, Larry, in the upcoming season, Jason Biggs has said to E! Online: "I think season two is going to be just as good if not better than the first ... [Larry] wants to support Piper. In the beginning, ostensibly, he's going to do everything he can to support Piper."
However, "ultimately he realizes that he's kind of a victim in all of it and he needs to take care of himself as well, but to what extreme, and how far should he take that exactly? Ultimately, he ends up taking advantage of Piper and the situation she's in, and becomes a little greedy and a little questionable," Biggs added.
The much loved character of Alex Vause, the ex-lover of Piper and a fellow inmate, might not appear in all the episodes, as Laura Prepon is reportedly not a regular for this season. Buzzfeed had reported that she will appear in four episodes and her character's story-line will have an open-end kind of ending. Four episodes are better than no Alex Vause at all. Buzzfeed had first reported that Prepon is not returning for the second season.
"Orange is the New Black" might premiere sometime in spring, 2014. Jackie Cruz, who plays the character of Marisol "Flaca" Gonzales, had said to Latina: "It's going to be amazing. Every episode is going to be wow! All I can tell you is that every episode is like Christmas."
