The Season 2 of "Orange is the New Black" will feature multiple-backstories, as this hit Netflix's drama-comedy has adopted the ensemble story-telling approach. The character of Piper Chapman will still be important, but the story will no longer completely focus on her.

Jenji Kohan, creator of "Orange is the New Black," said at PaleyFest, as reported by "The Hollywood Reporter, that the backstories of Morello, Sister Ingalls, Taystee, Poussey, Ms. Rosa would be revealed through flashbacks in Season 2 of "Orange is the New Black." In addition to these characters, the upcoming season will introduce a character called Vee. This new character's back-story will also be shown via flashbacks.

Lorraine Toussaint is playing the role of Vee, a "street-wise drug maven who runs children." Talking about her character, the actress said: "Jenji has written a character that plays, and enjoys it, and is incredibly engaging, and who wants to bring everyone into the big game."

As reported previously, Laura Prepon's Alex Vause will be seen in most of the Season 2, though not in all the episodes. It is expected that Alex Vause's story-line will have an open-end. Prepon, as quoted by Wet Paint, said, "The storyline that happened is going to be awesome and shocking and rad and fans are going to be really happy."

Prepon also indicated that it was because of clashing schedules that made her not appear in all the episodes of Season 2. The actress said, "... the funny thing is that it was a scheduling thing that happened with another project, and Jenji and I were like, cool, we're going to work it out so Alex can be in as many as possible."

Uzo Aduba has revealed that Crazy Eyes will be shown leaving the prison in Season 2. She said to Wet Paint: "I know that she's leaving." The actress, however, did not provide further details about her character's exit from the prison.

"Orange is the New Black" Season is scheduled to premiere on June 06, 2014. This Netflix original drama series is one of the most anticipated and talked about shows of 2014.
