The production on "Orange is the New Black" Season 3 recently wrapped up. The new season will see new characters making an appearance. Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, is returning as a series regular in the season 3. The new season of this Netflix's original drama-comedy is set to explore "faith," Jenji Kohan, creator of "Orange is the New Black," said in one of her interviews.

According to TV Line, Uzo Aduba, who plays Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren, has described faith as something "we chose to believe in." She also revealed that the fans will find her character in a "broken place" in "Orange is the New Black" Season 3. Aduba said that the questions related to faith are "true for Suzanne, as well."

Meanwhile, Netflix has released a holiday song video, featuring the characters of "Orange is the New Black." Sophia, Piper Chapman, Alex, Big Boo, Crazy Eyes, Black Cindy, Pennsatucky, Nicky Taystee, Morello, Gloria and Red can be seen belting out a fun rendition of "12 Days Of Litchfield" Christmas Carol.

"Orange is the New Black" Season 3 has yet to get a release date. However, it is expected that all the episodes of the new season will release in June 2015. Mary Steenburgen has been cast as Pornstache's mother. Pornstache will not be making an appearance in Season 3. Marsha Stephanie Blake has signed on for a recurring role. She will be introduced as the new corrections officer. Lori Petty is returning to reprise her Season 2 role as Lolly. It is expected that she will be transferred to Litchfield prison. Also, Alex is likely to be reunited with her on and off lover Piper, but it is going to be a volatile reunion. Fireworks are expected when Alex finds out that it is Piper who is behind her return to the prison.

In addition to Steenburgen and Blake, Mike Birbiglia and Blair Brown have also signed on to star in Season 3. The details about their characters have not been revealed. Earlier in an interview with People, Natasha Lyonne, who plays Nicky Nichols, described Season 3 in three words: "So much bloodshed."
