‘Orange is the New Black’ Spoilers: Introduction Of A Baby In Season 3
"Orange is the New Black" Season 3 will see the birth of inmate Daya and C.O John Bennett's baby, according to Matt McGorry, who plays Bennett in the show. It is in Season 1 that Daya found out that she is pregnant with Bennett's baby. She made the decision to not abort the child.
In Season 2, George "Pornstache" Mendez is arrested and sent to the prison after Daya gives a statement, saying that he is the father of the baby. However, later, Bennett confesses to Joe Caputo that he is the father of Daya's unborn child. Caputo asks him to keep quiet. There was no need to introduce the baby in Season 2, as there were enough factors available to complicate the relationship between Daya and Bennett. The upcoming season of "Orange is the New Black" will see the birth of the baby, which will give Daya and Bennett's relationship a new turn. It is going to get more complicated.
TV Guide is reporting that the baby will be born in Season 3. It has quoted McGorry as saying, "Nine months elapses in Season 3." Speaking about the rearing of the baby in the prison, the actor, who is currently portraying a role in ABC's new series "How to Get Away With Murder, said that Daya and Bennett have "different ideas about what should happen, as we've seen before, and that continues to come to a head as we get closer and closer to Month Nine," adding, "Hormones rage and ... in our case, it's even more complicated."
Meanwhile, Pornstache will not be making an appearance in Season 3, as the actor playing the role, Pablo Schreiber, is not returning to reprise his role. However, the character's mother is set to make an appearance in the upcoming season. It is being speculated that she might arrive to take care of the baby, thinking it is her son's child. Mary Steenburgen has been roped in to play the character of Pornstache's mother. Also, Marsha Stephanie Blake has signed on for a recurring role. She is set to make an appearance as the new corrections officer.
The Season 3 episodes of this Netflix's original drama-comedy are expected to be available for viewing in June 2015.
