‘Orange is the New Black’ Star Laura Prepon ‘NOT’ Dating Tom Cruise, Says Cruise Rep.
The media is abuzz with reports that "Orange is the New Black" star Laura Prepon is dating Tom Cruise. If media reports are to be believed, Prepon and Cruise's story is that of good friendship blossoming into romance.
Citing a source, British magazine, Grazia, reported that Hollywood actor Cruise, 53, and Prepon, 33, have gone on a few dates and Cruise is smitten with her. Cruise reportedly had taken Prepon for a dinner at The Renaissance at Manor Hotel in Los Angeles. This hotel is known to be a favourite of Scientology followers. The two again had a brunch date at the same restaurant. The source told Grazia that Cruise and Prepon also attended a party thrown by John Travolta -- who is a follower of Scientology -- a few days later.
"It's clear Tom is smitten and after the date he was on cloud nine. They had their second date at the restaurant too, meeting for Sunday brunch, and then she accompanied him a few days later to a dinner party at John's [Travolta] home," the source said as quoted by Independent.
According to the report, Prepon is also a devout follower of Scientology. She and Cruise two reportedly became friends because of their Scientology connection. The source indicated that the two are happy.
Cruise's rep, however, has denied that Prepon and Cruise are dating. To E! News, the Hollywood actor's rep said that the latest rumour is "false." An insider said to US Weekly, "They see each other at some functions, but they are not dating. He will date again and has been talking with women."
Prepon plays the character of lesbian inmate, Alex Vause, in Netflix's popular original series, "Orange is the New Black." In August, Buzzfeed had first reported that Prepon is likely to quit "Orange is the New Black." Later, it had reported that the actress is likely to return for an episode to wrap-up her story line. According to recent reports, Prepon might return for four episodes in the second season. And, Vause's story-line is likely to be more open-ended in the new season.
