Orchid Fever: Kate Middleton Wears Stunning Floral Silk Dress in Singapore [PHOTOS]
The Duchess of Cambridge wowed delegates, politicians, and paparazzi when she showed up in a silk dress with purple floral prints and embellishments.
It is "flower power" for Kate Middleton as she stuns in her first set of clothes for the Royal Couple's 10-day Asian tour. Kicking off in Singapore today, the tour will be in honor of the Queen's Jubilee celebration.
Jenny Packham, one of Kate Middleton's favorite designers, created a sophisticated kimono-style pastel dress adorned with orchids-Singapore's national flower. The Duchess wore the dress upon arrival in Singapore, where she was met with a thousand smiles, camera clicks, and real orchids for her to carry along. Not only are the people of the island amused and flattered with the design, but The Duchess looked flawless and regal in it.
Later that day, Kate Middleton appeared in a silk three-fourths dress with a print that evokes a fun, sunny, and elegant vibe all at the same time. Designed by Nepalese-born designer Prabal Gurung, the dress has a liquid-flow print of flowers from the front, focusing on the back. It is indeed one of The Duchess' most daring looks when it comes to design.
Just like what we have foreseen, Kate is somehow mixing her signature style of shy and simple tones with flower prints and tropical flair. The Duke and Duchess went on to attend a ceremony of an orchid named after them, and the late Princess Diana called the "Vanda William Catherine," and "Diana."
