Queensland forward Nate Myles said he was disappointed after learning that NSW skipper Paul Gallen was slapped with one-week suspension by the match review committee following their scuffle in Game 1 of their Origin showdown.

Myles, who absorbed a couple of hard blows from Gallen before halftime of Wednesday's Origin battle, said he doesn't take the assault from the NSW skipper personal, adding that's all part of Origin tradition.

"To be honest with you, I'd leave it on the field," Myles told Sydney Morning Herald. "That's Origin. He got a couple of really good ones on me. The fortunate thing with rugby league is you get to do it again."

Gallen is expected to sit out the Sharks' upcoming match against the Storm on Sunday after entering a guilty plea to grade two striking charge Thursday afternoon.

Myles caught the ire of NSW players, particularly Gallen, for allegedly tackling opponents head first - a move that could result to severe injuries. However, Myles apparently has no intention in changing his style of play.

"That's just the way I tackle. I'll leave that up to the referee," he said."It's a pretty physical sport we play. To get one of them good tackles in, you've got to be using some sort of technique."

Gallen, who's seen his combo punch on Myles as a backhanded compliment, promised for more heated moments in the rivalry as both teams prepare for Game II of the Origin.
