The Mikaelson family members introduced in "The Vampire Diaries" have inspired the CW Network to create a spinoff series called "The Originals." Now, the vampire family's history and secrets in the hit TV series have inspired executive producer Julie Plec to create "The Originals" book series where numerous stories on the family's troubled past will be told.

According to an Entertainment Weekly report, Julie Plec is now adding "book author" to her list of work credits as she works on the series of "The Originals" books. The fans will be able to find out more about the mysterious pasts of Original hybrid Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) that include their origins in New Orleans, enemies and romantic relationship.

Additionally, the fans can now have a look at the covers for the upcoming "The Originals" book trilogy as well as read the brief synopsis for each book installment. The first book titled "The Originals: The Rise" is set during the arrival of the Original vampire siblings in 1722 in New Orleans with the hopes that they have eluded their dangerous past.

However, Klaus falls in love with the wrong woman so Elijah must find a new home to call their own. As for Rebekah, the blonde vampire infiltrates a human soldier camp to find allies. "They set into motion a chain of events that could bring their new life crashing down around them," the first book's synopsis revealed in a Hypable report.

The second book is titled "The Originals: The Loss" where the Mikaelson siblings finally have control of New Orleans from the witches and werewolves. However, Klaus wants to acquire the one thing that he desires the most so he puts his trust in a witch that has the power of unleashing an ancient curse upon the Mikaelson family.

Lastly, the third book is titled "The Originals: The Resurrection" and the final installment of the book series will have the Mikaelson siblings determined to make New Orleans their own. This time, it will be Elijah who falls head over heels in love with a beautiful witch while Rebekah chases down the key to the Mikaelson's immortality and Klaus has a thirst for vengeance and power that could destroy his family.

According to an Alloy Entertainment report, "The Originals" Book One is scheduled to be released in February 2015 with Book Two following in April 2015 and Book Three coming out in June 2015. Click HERE to see the covers for the upcoming "The Originals" book series.
