The witches' Harvest Ritual has once again united the Mikaelson siblings, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies), in order to put a stop to young witch Davina's (Danielle Campbell) uncontrollable gain of powers. However, the outcome of what they have done will bring them more trouble that they have to deal with.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "The Originals" Episode 11 "Après Moi, Le Déluge." Davina, who is still upset that her special friend Tim (Shane Coffey) died, attacks Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) when he brought her some food to eat indicating that she cannot trust anyone anymore. In the middle of their confrontation, the young witch suddenly gets sick as she vomits soil and caused an earthquake in New Orleans.

A guilty Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) confessed to Elijah what she did with Sophie and it created a gap between the two. Will Elijah, who was obviously upset, be able to forgive or trust Hayley again after the pregnant werewolf went through his personal stuff to find out where Celeste (Raney Branch) is buried and tell Sophie about it?

Sophie Deveraux (Daniella Pineda) is willing to do anything like become an elder using Celeste's remains to bring back her niece Monique through the Harvest ritual. The witch found out about Davina's condition making her want to finish the Harvest sooner because Davina was not supposed to gain all that power.

However, Sophie was not able to transform herself into an elder because someone appears to have taken Celeste's magical powers. Elijah then suggests that they can use their mother's remains in completing the Harvest since Esther (Alice Evans in "The Vampire Diaries") was a powerful witch.

Davina finally accepted her fate and role in the Harvest Ritual so she said a heartbreaking goodbye to Marcel when she told him that she is ready. The ritual got finally completed with Sophie slitting Davina's throat but when she called upon the witches Elders to resurrect their chosen ones, nothing happened.

Marcel takes Davina's death badly, after all, he promised to protect her no matter what. Klaus showed off his soft side as he comforts Marcel like a son telling him that he knows what it is like to feel that pain of losing someone. "I'm sorry. You may think I know nothing of your grief but you're wrong. In the days after I fled this city, I thought you were dead, it was years before I could even speak your name," Klaus admits to Marcel.

This episode showed as well another moment between Elijah and Hayley when she sincerely asked forgiveness for her mistake. Elijah grabbed Hayley's arm when she tried to walk away and held her close like they were about to share their first kiss but fans rooting for the pairing will be disappointed that the kiss did not happen.

The ending scene to this episode has provided a shocking twist to the story surrounding the Harvest Ritual. "Four were supposed to rise and none did. Where did all that power go?" Rebekah tells Klaus while the siblings discussed what just happened.

The answer to that question was given by the witch Sabine (Shannon Kane) and her spell brought back three more powerful witches, Bastianna (Shannon Eubanks) included. Then, Sabine finally revealed who she really is with the sinister line: "I'd appreciate it if you call me by my real name, Celeste."

The next episode will take the battle between witches and vampires to a whole new level with the four old powerful witches back in town. Watch "The Originals" Episode 12 "Dance Back from the Grave" on Tuesday night, January 28, at 8/7c on the CW network.
