Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) will be doubling his efforts on keeping his daughter, Hope, safe from his enemies in "The Originals" Season 2, episode 8 titled "The Brothers That Care Forgot." The Original hybrid finds out that aside from his mother, Esther (Sonja Sohn), another family member is coming for his first-born hybrid child.

Spoiler Alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "The Originals" Season 2, episode 8 titled "The Brothers That Care Forgot."

Klaus tries to convince Kol (Daniel Sharman) and Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) to side with him and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) in their plan of going against Esther. However, Elijah loses control and attacks Finn after Esther's right hand man started to talk about their mother's determination to find their missing sister, Rebekah (Claire Holt), who has baby Hope.

At a park, Rebekah plays with Hope but realizes that Esther has found out about her location through her starlings suddenly appearing. Rebekah calls Elijah to tell that she is now on the run to hide from Esther and keep Klaus' daughter safe.

Klaus tells Elijah to meet Rebekah and make sure his daughter is safe while he stays behind to convince his other brothers to be powerful allies against Esther. At the bayou, Jackson (Nathan Parsons) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) tell Aiden (Colin Woodell) to set up a meeting to convince the werewolf pack that they do not need to be under Esther's control because they have an Alpha to guide them.

Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) reveals to Davina (Danielle Campbell) that Klaus currently has the White Oak Stake and his brother Kol. Marcel asks Davina to stay away from Kol because the Mikaelson sibling is just using her for his personal agenda against Klaus.

Then, Marcel asks Davina to stick with Josh (Steven Krueger) as he attends to an important matter with Klaus. Marcel helps Klaus torture Kol to reveal what he is really up to while the Original hybrid convinces Finn to join him with the offer of a freedom to personally choose the path he wants for his life which is something that Esther never gave his son.

Meanwhile, Davina sees an opportunity to leave Josh behind so she could work on with her plan against Klaus. Davina wants to meet Aiden so the witch encouraged Josh to invite his new boyfriend over to hang out and get to know him. With Josh distracted, Davina left the two behind to create a dark potion in Kol's tomb playhouse at the cemetery.

Hayley finds out about a ritual that can free and save the werewolves under Esther's control because of the moonlight rings. However, Jackson warns that the vows to be made between two Alphas must be honoured otherwise the ritual will not work. "It's gotta be a real marriage," Jackson tells Hayley.

Hayley asks Cami for help in finding more information on the ritual that could save the werewolf pack. Cami, who is not feeling well, tells Hayley to think first before making a decision because it will be something she must live with. When Cami turned her back on Hayley, the newbie hybrid saw several puncture wounds on Cami's back.

Through Marcel's torture on Kol, Klaus figures out that all his brother wants is to be a part of the Mikaelson family again. "Perhaps there's still time to make it up to you," Klaus tells Kol as an attempt to convince his brother to join his side.

At a diner, Elijah receives a phone call from Hayley but decided to not answer it. Esther's torture on Elijah appears to be deep as the Original vampire cleans up the coffee that the waitress spilled on his suit. Esther's voice can be heard instructing Elijah to clean up and Elijah remembers his "Red Door."

When Klaus asked Finn if he already made a decision, Finn still remains to be on his mother's side. Finn finally told Klaus the truth about the sacrifices that Esther gave in order to have a family and what really happened to their older sister Freya.

Finn further revealed to Klaus about Dalia, Esther's powerful sister, and their aunt's curse of demanding the first born of every generation. Finn explained that their mother was only protecting Klaus when she came after his daughter because if the baby survives, Dalia will return to collect.

Rebekah arrives with baby Hope at the diner where Elijah is waiting. The Original siblings initially had a tender reuniting moment where they talked about Hope and Esther's offer. Things started to change when Rebekah noticed the bloodstain in Elijah's suit. Rebekah becomes worried for her and Hope's safety when she saw dead bodies inside the diner's kitchen.

At the werewolf meeting, Jackson tries to convince the werewolf pack to reunite again with him as their leader where Aiden and Hayley show their support. Hayley even revealed to the pack about the ritual that can free them from Esther's control and make them control their wolf transformation.

After the meeting, Jackson proposes to Hayley in order to make the ritual that can save their pack work. "I know you're only doing this to help our people. But I promise, I will be a good husband to you," Jackson tells Hayley.

Meanwhile, Davina succeeded in attacking Klaus with the poison on her blood when the Original hybrid bit her. Even Kol was impressed but Davina gets upset when she finds out that Kol is now on Team Klaus when it comes to taking down Esther.

Cami arrives to tell that she will also join Team Klaus because of the puncture wounds on her back. Cami finds out that Esther has prepared her body to be a vessel for someone to jump into. Cami initially thought Esther will be jumping into her body but a conversation with Finn revealed that Esther prepared her body to be a vessel for Rebekah.

Davina finally agrees to wake up Klaus so they can team up against the Original witch. After Rebekah snapped Elijah's neck, she calls Klaus for help after realizing that Elijah's killing spree is another trick from their mother.

Klaus puts Finn inside his coffin again before heading out to meet his sister at the diner that they spent Christmas after they fled Mikael (Sebastian Roché). Hayley wanted to tell about her decision to Klaus and Elijah but the Original hybrid told her that she can talk about on their way.

When Hayley asked where they are going, Klaus responds that they are going to see their daughter. "The Originals" Season 2 will return with episode 9 titled "The Map of Moments" on Monday night, Dec. 8, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
