‘The Originals' Season 2 Spoilers: Aussie Actress Claire Holt Returns, Rebekah Mikaelson To Appear In Episode 8 Titled ‘The Brothers That Care Forgot’

The synopsis for an upcoming "The Originals" Season 2 episode has confirmed that a familiar face is returning to the CW spinoff series. Australian actress Claire Holt, who portrays Original sibling Rebekah Mikaelson, will make an appearance in episode 8 titled "The Brothers That Care Forgot."

However, Rebekah's return means living her normal life with baby Hope is already over. In a Carter Matt report, the synopsis for "The Originals" Season 2, episode 8 revealed that Rebekah will find herself on the run because her mother, Esther (Alice Evans) who is in Lenore's (Sonja Sohn) body, finally discovered her whereabouts.

The episode synopsis also teased that Rebekah will notice that something is off with Elijah. Executive producer Michael Narducci teased about Rebekah's return in an Entertainment Weekly interview.

"You won't be doing much Christmas shopping without having gotten a glimpse of Claire Holt," Narducci shared. The executive producer further revealed that Rebekah's return has something to do with Esther's plan for her children.

At the moment, Esther is dealing with Elijah (Daniel Gillies) but Michael Narducci teases that the fans will also see what the Original witch has in mind for Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Rebekah. "I liken her to someone who realizes that her children are all alcoholics and knows she was the one who gave them their first drink and now is basically kidnapping them and forcing them into rehab. That's really kind of what she's trying to do," the executive producer explained.

Other details in the episode synopsis teased that Davina (Danielle Campbell) will turn to dark magic as she takes matters into her own hands while Cami (Leah Pipes) will find herself at the center of Esther's dangerous plan.

Meanwhile, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) will discover an ancient ritual that can get the werewolves out from Esther's control but the ritual will require the new hybrid to make a tremendous sacrifice. As for Klaus, the Original hybrid will be setting a plan in motion to turn his brothers Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) and Kol (Daniel Sharman) against their mother after realizing that the two would be powerful allies in taking down Esther.

"The Originals" Season 2 airs on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network. Rebekah's return in episode 8 titled "The Brothers That Care Forgot" is scheduled to air on Nov. 24, 2014.
