The Mikaelson family members are currently the focus in "The Originals" Season 2. However, executive producer Michael Narducci teased during an interview that the other characters in the CW spinoff series have a great storyline ahead.

The executive producer revealed in a TV Line interview that Josh (Steven Krueger) has a really great storyline coming up in "The Originals" Season 2. In the new season's premiere episode, Josh wondered why he would want to stay in New Orleans after the werewolves took over the place in "The Originals" Season 1 finale.

"He's kind of Marcel's last guy from that old regime, and he's trying to figure out, 'What am I fighting for?'" Narducci explained. As for Cami (Leah Pipes), the upcoming episodes will finally reveal what Finn (Yusuf Gatewood) and Cassie/Esther's (Natalie Dreyfuss) true interest is with the human being.

"They have one of the coolest reasons possible for wanting to get to know [her]," Narducci teased even describing the story twist as "freaky." "The Originals" Season 2 premiere episode revealed that Finn has found a way to connect with Cami by being her college sponsor, Mr. Vincent Griffith.

When it comes to flashback scenes, Michael Narducci teased there will be more of that in the new season focusing on the Mikaelson family history. The executive producer hinted that the flashback scenes will include Mikael (Sebastian Roché) and Esther's (Alice Evans) history, particularly on what made Mikael the way he is, and the story on why Finn is so devoted to his mother.

Meanwhile, a video clip for the upcoming episode titled "Every Mother's Son" has been shared on "The Originals" official Facebook page teasing about Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) relationship with his mother. The clip begins with Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) wondering why Esther hates Klaus so much.

The Original hybrid revealed to Hayley a family history where there were seven Mikaelson siblings but one died before he was born and then the werewolves killed his other brother, Henrik, years later. Klaus further revealed to Hayley that the death of another child pushed Esther over the edge so she used her magic to turn her children into immortals.

"I think that's when she loved us the most. But it was her undoing," Klaus shared. Click HERE to watch the video clip. "The Originals" star Joseph Morgan revealed in a TV Line interview that his character is not handling the return of his parents very well.

"He's dropping balls all over the place. [Laughs] It's tough for him," Morgan shared. The 33-year-old English actor further explained that Klaus' parents are both threatening but in different ways. According to Morgan, Mikael is more physically imposing while Esther is incredibly emotionally manipulative.

When "The Originals" Season 2 returns with episode 3 titled "Every Mother's Son," Klaus and Esther will continue with their discussion over dinner. The new episode is scheduled to air on Monday night, Oct. 20, at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
