'The Originals' Season 3 spoilers: Klaus' first love returns, Elijah-Marcel alliance and ancient secret to be revealed in episode 5 [WATCH]

The third episode of “The Originals” Season 3 has revealed the romantic past of Original hybrid Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) with Aurora de Martel (Rebecca Breeds) through its flashback scenes. The synopsis and promo video of “The Originals” Season 3, episode 5 titled “The Axeman’s Letter” tease that the former lovers will meet again in present-day New Orleans.

The synopsis of “The Originals” Season 3, episode 5 in a Carter Matt report teases that Klaus will receive an unexpected visit from someone in his past as the vampire sire lines war continues to escalate. The promo video of the CW TV series’ upcoming episode teases on the return of Klaus’ ex-girlfriend Aurora and the flashback scenes to their romantic past with Rebekah Mikaelson (Claire Holt) in it.

The new episode’s synopsis further teased about an alliance between Original vampire Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies) and Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis). Elijah suspects that his first sired vampire Tristan de Martel (Oliver Ackland), Aurora’s brother who also arrived in New Orleans, is hiding something.

Elijah will ask Marcel, who passed the initiation test of the oldest vampire society known as “The Strix,” for help in uncovering what Tristan is really up to in “The Originals” Season 3, episode 5. Meanwhile, the synopsis also teases on Davina’s struggle as the new Regent of the witch community in New Orleans.

The young witch Davina needs guidance when it comes to leading her people because they think her connection with the vampires make her unfit to be their Regent. Davina told Marcel in “The Originals” Season 3 premiere episode titled “For the Next Millennium” that she plans to prove to the ninth ward coven that she is not a vampire sympathizer.

When Marcel gave Davina Claire (Danielle Campbell) an advice on what can be done in order to gain her people’s trust and respect, things did not go well in Davina’s plan. The new episode will have Davina seeking advice from hybrid Hayley Marshall-Kenner (Phoebe Tonkin).

Lastly, an ancient secret will be revealed in the new episode. However, the ancient secret threatens to tear apart the sibling bond between Klaus and Elijah for good.

The Klaus-Elijah bond has already been damaged when Klaus carried out a plan that killed Elijah’s new love interest Gia (Nishi Munshi) and activated again the Crescent Curse on Hayley in “The Originals” Season 2 in order to defeat the powerful witch villain Dahlia (Claudia Black).
