Orlando Bloom Absent from 'The Hobbit' Premiere After Party, Celebrated 'Romeo and Juliet' Co-star Condola Rashad's Birthday Instead [PHOTOS]
Orlando Bloom who appears in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," reportedly didn't attend the premiere night after party of his film with co-stars including Evangeline Lilly because he rushed off to celebrate his "Romeo and Juliet" co-star Condola Rashad's 27th birthday on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013. Rashad's birthday party was held at Jimmy in Soho, Manhattan, inside the James Hotel in New York City (NYC). Rashad and Bloom celebrated with her parents, football player Ahmad Rashad and Cosby Show star Phylicia Rashad.
According to New York Post's Page Six, Bloom was at the Cinema Society and Moncler-sponsored screening with co-star Evangeline Lilly and other celebrity guests including Brooke Shields, Jeremy Piven, Sean Parker, Eric Schmidt and some "Downton Abbey" stars.
Bloom shared a table at a Lambs Club after-party with British actor Stephen Fry, who played Master of Laketown in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug." But, New York (NY) Post's Page Six spies reported that Bloom seemed "twitchy" during the screening and anxious to leave it.
After a while, Bloom, was seen at the James Hotel's club Jimmy, celebrating Rashad's 27th birthday with guests, including Rashad's parents.
"There's been a lot of speculation about them dating, but they made sure to keep a friendly distance," said the NY Post Page Six spy in the NY Post Page Six report.
Ever since Bloom and Rashad appeared in the Broadway show "Romeo and Juliet" as William Shakespeare's star-crossed lovers, rumours have been spreading of their closeness and evident chemistry.
36-year-old Orlando Bloom Orlando has talked about his and Rashad's chemistry on stage. When he appeared on "Live with Kelly and Michael" in October 2013, he mentioned their first kiss.
"We sometimes get applause after our first kiss because it just goes on," said Bloom in the "Live with Kelly and Michael" interview as mentioned in a Daily Mail Online report.
"Sometimes I'm like, I'm not letting go," added the star.

However, Bloom and Rashad will be spending less time together onstage as "Romeo and Juliet" played its final Broadway show on Dec. 8, 2013, a month earlier than originally planned.
Because Orlando Bloom didn't attend "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," premiere after party to celebrate with "Romeo & Juliet" co-star Condola Rashad on her birthday, the rumour mills are agog about this latest news, especially since the newly single Bloom, just split from her wife of three years, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr. Let's wait and see what happens in the Bloom and Rashad saga. Will they finally get together like their counterparts "Romeo and Juliet?" Stay tuned for more news about them.
