BBC America's original scripted, science-fiction series, "Orphan Black," will return for its second season in April, 2014, with 10 episodes. The production has started on the second season of "Orphan Black."

According to BBC America, Tatiana Maslany, Jordan Gavaris, Dylan Bruce and Maria Doyle Kennedy are returning to play their characters in the new season of "Orphan Black." Kevin Hanchard and Michael Mando are also returning to reprise their roles.

The Season 2 of "Orphan Black" is expected to begin with Sarah desperately searching her missing daughter, Kira. However, her "tactics" to find daughter start-off a fight with pro-clone Rachel, "which divides the clones."

"Look for Sarah to discover more about her past as mysterious newcomers arrive on the scene," according to the official synopsis released by BBC America.

E! Online had reported that two new major characters will be introduced in "Orphan Black" Season 2, and one of them is likely to be the leading man. These two characters are Cal and Pastor Johanssen.

Cal is an intelligent, emotional woodsman. According to E! Online, he has a bittter past and keeps to himself, and is an artist, as well. Pastor Johanssen is a radical and will be shown as being completely anti-science. E! Online describes him as "leader of a radical faith based on Prolethean sect."

"Orphan Black" premiered on March 30, 2013, and it was renewed for 10-episode second season on May 02, 2013.
