The second season of "Orphan Black" is more intense and exciting compared to the first season. Tatiana Maslany has indicated that the storylines of the new season are awesome.

In an interview with TV Line, Maslany said that ... "the storylines this year are awesome. We have incredible guest stars coming on and incredible recurring actors. It's a really exciting season."

As reported earlier by TV Line, Michiel Huisman has been roped in to play the recurring character of Cal Morrison. Michiel's character is an intelligent man, with sixth sense about people and the surroundings. TV Line reports that Cal will need all "his wits and humanity as he crosses paths with the clones."

Peter Outerbridge and Ari Millen are joining "Orphan Black" for Season 2. TV Line had reported that Peter will play the character of Henrik 'Hank' Johanssen, a "mercurial modern-day cowboy." The actor has a recurring role as the leader of a gang of followers that has snapped its relationship with "Prolethean" brotherhood.

Appearing in a multiple-episode arc, Ari will play the character of Mark who is devoted to Johanssen. TV Line had described his character as "a cunning predator with a dark edge."

Talking about the difference between the first and second season, Maslany said to TV Line that the second season is "more intense" and the "worlds are more fleshed out."

"You get to see a lot of characters that exist within the different clones' universes. Those worlds are elaborated on. We get to know them better based on the people they're around and based on the kind of things that are going on in their life. It's deeper and more involved," added Maslany.

When nominations for the 2013 Emmy Awards were announced, "Orphan Black" was one of the most glaring omissions. The Golden Globe nomination list has corrected that complete snub. Tatiana Maslany has won a nomination for best actress in a T.V series. She will be fighting it out with Julianna Margulies ("The Good Wife"), Taylor Schilling ("Orange is the New Black"), Kerry Washington ("Scandal") and Robin Wright ("House of Cards") to win the coveted Golden Globe trophy.

Maslany said to TV Line that she was in "total shock" when heard about her nomination. The actress did not think that getting a nomination was a "possibility."

"Yeah, it was really shocking. But awesome, exciting," stated Maslany.

"Orphan Black" Season 2 is currently in the production stage.
