The fourth season of “Orphan Black” will premiere on Apr. 14 on BBC America. Fans were excited to learn that Delphine will still be present in the upcoming episodes, after many believed that the character was killed off. Executive producer Graeme Manson teased that Delphine will return in the new season, since she still has a big role in the developing story and Cosima’s life.
Co-creator John Fawcett also shared that the start of “Orphan Black” Season 4 will feature Cosima having a hard time accepting the death of Delphine. She will go back to the events that resulted to her murder. Because of this, some fans believed that Delphine will be back, but only in flashbacks.
“Delphine made a courageous journey last year and for us, as writers, his fate is currently a mystery, but what happened to him is a big part of season 4,” Manson said in a report by Siver Times.
It was also revealed that a clone will die in Season 4. Manson and Fawcett also said that they intended to go back to the first season. They wanted to feature the feel of Season 1 again where fans cannot identify the antagonist. They will also explore the relationship of Beth and Art (Kevin Handard) more. They also said that more of Krystal Goderitch, the Leda clone, will be seen more in the new season. There is also the potential of Tony, Antoinette Sawicki, the transgender clone who first appeared in Season 2 showing up in a future episode.
On a related note, “After the Black,” a follow-up talk show covering “Orphan Black,” will also air on BBC America on the same day as the Season 4 premiere. Ajay Fry, Teddy Wilson and Morgan Hoffman will be hosting the show, which will delve on recent episodes, potential storylines and spoilers. Fans will also get an exclusive first glimpse of the next episode and behind-the-scene clips.
Tatiana Maslany, who plays all the clones, and Kevin Hanchard will be present on the first airing of “After the Black.”
