'Orphan Black' season 5 will be its last; show runners promise epic conclusion for the Leda clones

“Orphan Black” is currently on its fourth season and news has just come out that it has been renewed for Season 5. However, the fifth season will be its last one.
The show’s co-creators Graeme Manson and John Fawcett said that they are excited to give the viewers an epic ending and conclusion for Sarah Manning’s story, along with her other cloned sisters. During the past four seasons, viewers and fans alike have been taken through a phenomenal adventure.
They say that they are thankful for the show’s supporters and loyal fans who backed them in every thrill and twist of the show. They also expressed their gratefulness to Space, Temple Street and BBC America for supporting them, as well, and for giving the show an opportunity to end on a high note.
Ivan Schneeberg and David Fortier, executive producers of the series, also said that when they started the show they knew it would be special. However, they did not expect how deeply it would reverberate with the audience. They also said that they did not expect it to be acclaimed internationally.
The show runners are reportedly really amazed with Tatiana, who is able to pull off the role every season. They are at awe on how she was able to give each clone a unique personality through her captivating acting skills. Also, they say that they are proud of the crew and cast who will accompany them to the show’s final ride. They also thanked the fans, Space and BBC America.
On the other end of the line, BBC America’s president Sarah Barnett also gave her statement. She said that the show is genre-bending and thrilling, capturing its fans’ hearts and imaginations. She described the show to have a genius set of actors coupled with talented producers and writers.
The team has taken its viewers to various places of surprise and shock. Barnett further elaborated that Tatiana continues to be a full revelation as her remarkable performance on the show, coupled with a great cast, led to a wonderful production, writes Entertainment Weekly .
Given that there will be one more season, viewers can expect to have ten more episodes to be released in 2017. The show will tie loose ends and fans be in for an epic conclusion, Den of Geek reports.
The show’s season 4 finale airs on June 23 on BBC America. It also airs on Syfy Australia.
