'The Orville' season 2: New behind the scenes picture and more
Filming of “The Orville” season 2 continues without any problems. A new director has joined the show, and Executive Producer Seth MacFarlane teased that the first day of the new director went really well. Meanwhile, new behind-the-scenes pictures of the production set have also been released online.
Rebecca Rodriguez is directing her very first episode for the show. Things are going well on the set, and MacFarlane gave the director a pat on the back online. “Way to go Rebecca Rodriguez on a stellar first day directing,” MacFarlane wrote on Twitter [see below].
What is the plot of the episode Rodriguez is shooting? Jon Cassar appears to have given a clue with a new picture he shared online. The behind-the-scenes picture posted on Instagram shows Gordon Malloy (Scott Grimes) in Captain Mercer’s (Seth MacFarlane) office, and things aren’t looking good, judging by the looks of Gordon’s reactions.
Will Gordon cross the line and get reprimanded by the captain? It is not unusual for the crew members to cross the line from time to time, but Gordan may have done something really bad to be called into the captain’s office to get reprimanded.
Executive Producer and Writer David A. Goodman has also shared a behind-the-scenes picture of the TV series. The picture posted on the official Twitter page of Goodman shows the Bridge of the ship [see below]. The picture was taken in between takes, so none of the cast and crew members can be seen.
More filming and production updates can be expected in the coming weeks, as the cast and crew of the TV series tease pictures to keep the fans engaged. Despite the fact that a lot of the filming is still left, “The Orville” season 2 will premiere on Dec. 30 in the US. There will be a total of 14 episodes on the show this time around.
