Oscars are around the corner next month and everybody is gripped in Oscar fever. Before the gala event takes place on March 2, on Monday happed the star-studded Oscar Luncheon party at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton. The event was attended by 203 Oscar nominees from Leonardo DiCaprio (for "The Wolf of Wall Street"), Sandra Bullock (for "Gravity") and Matthew McConaughey (for "Dallas Buyers Club"). Here are the highlights of the event.

So which lucky nominee got the loudest cheer when his/her name was announced? According to hollywoodreporter.com, Best Actress nominee Amy Adams (for "American Hustle") and Best Actress nominee Cate Blanchett (for "Blue Jasmine") got the loudest applause at the gala event followed by Best Picture/Best Director nominee Alfonso Cuaron ( for "Gravity").

Also applauded were Best Cinematography nominee Roger Deakins (for "Prisoners") and Best Actor nominee Bruce Dern (for "Nebraska"). The audience also cheered Best Supporting Actress nominee Lupita Nyong'o (for "12 Years a Slave"). Apart from the cheer there were also some really memorable quotes from the nominees' mouth.

"American Hustle" actor Amy Adams, who removed her heels as she went on stage to get her nomination, dwelled upon the choice of her dress for the gala night. "Sometimes I feel like I am dressing in costume on the red carpet, and this year I want to feel like myself. So I guarantee when I'm on the red carpet this year, you can know that's a dress that I would wear. It's not a character's dress," says Adams, according to LA Times.

The handsome Leonardo DiCaprio also told the audience about why his movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" has so much of profanity and nudity.

"There's a lot of disgusting behavior in this movie. You can see that up on screen. But it was very much a reflection of this culture," explains Leo, according to LA Times.

"We wanted this to be a cautionary tale, and we wanted to accurately portray this darker nature of our culture. It was a reaction to what happened in 2008. We as filmmakers wanted to display this part of humanity on the screen," the actor added.

The 86th Annual Academy Awards will happen on March 2. Meanwhile take a look at the slideshow above which has the nominees' pictures at special luncheon.
