Is it true that Jared Leto is striking up a romance with a fellow Oscar nominee? The "30 Seconds to Mars" front man and actor, Jared Leto, announced during the Red Carpet arrival in the Dolby Theatre that he was indeed dating co-nominee June Squibb.

"Let's put the rumors to rest...we are indeed dating and it's great," Leto responded when Ryan Seacrest of E! Interviewed him. "Our evening in Santa Barbara was great." June Squibb quipped. One wishes that the announcement was true, as Jared Leto and June Squibb would make a really cute couple. However, the announcement was just a playful joke by the rockstar actor and the "Nebraska" actress.

June Squibb is nominated for Best Actress in the 86th Academy Awards for her role in "Nebraska." Leto apparently interrupted the 84-year old actress while she was gushing over her splendid green Tadashi Shoji dress (which arrived just a few hours ago in the hotel where the actress was staying). Leto dished out to the press how he met the stunning 84-year old during the Santa Barbara Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Jared Leto did not fail to impress the onlookers once more as he graced the red carpet in a stunning white tuxedo jacket. The King of the "Man Hair," Jared Leto let his perfectly tousled hair down to complement his Oscar ensemble.

"I have always loved that old school vibe and I never really ever wear suits," Leto said when asked about his fashion choice for the awards night.

Jared Leto further made onlookers, men and women alike, swoon after being extra sweet to his mother and brother. Leto brought his mom and his brother as dates to the awards night.

"This is a woman who, against all odds, was able to make a better life for herself and for my brother and she taught us so much about creativity and hard work and about living dreams so it's really fun to share this dream with her," Leto further revealed to E!'s Seacrest.

Leto has been embroiled in countless pre-Oscar's affairs ranging from the stunning Lupita Nyong'o to Grammy's sweetheart Taylor Swift. Recently, the rockstar has been linked to wild child Miley Cyrus.
