Oscars 2014: In Memoriam Tribute: Paul Walker, Philip Seymour Hoffman; Cory Monteith Missing

Glenn Close presented the "In Memoriam" tribute which has also featured Bette Midler's performance of the song "Wind Beneath my Wings" at the 86^th Annual Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California. Paul Walker and Philip Seymour Hoffman were among the actors who were remembered on Sunday. Noticeably, Glee star Cory Monteith was not on the list.

Walker died at the age of 40 during a break while filming the seventh installment of the hit movie franchise "Fast and the Furious" in November 2013. He was a passenger of his friends when the fiery car crash took place. Hoffman, who was best known for his performance in the movie "Capote" died at the age of 46 earlier this year due to drug overdose. Hoffman's death, like Walker, has shocked many people in the movie industry.

Monteith, who died in July, used to play Finn Hudson in the TV series "Glee." Even though he wasn't included in the In Memoriam Tribute during the awards night, he made it to the Oscars' "In Memoriam" gallery on its official Web site.

According to CBS News, Monteith wasn't the only one who was missing in the "In Memoriam" tribute of the 86^th Academy Awards. Dennis Farina, Lee Thompson, Jonathan Winters, Alain Resnais, and Richard Sarafian were some of those who have passed away in 2013 that were absent in the list.
