The infamous captain in the British army, Jack Randall, returns in "Outlander" episode 6. In the previous episode, Claire was left with a difficult choice. Her search for the magic stones may be hindered in the British camp. [Spoiler Alert]

Though Claire may have chosen to go with the British troops who offered help, the presence of Dougal alongside her suggests that she may not have had a choice in the matter. If she tells the soldiers that she is being held against her will, Dougal would be punished accordingly for kidnapping an English lady.

Claire was offered help in the previous episode of "Outlander" by a young British soldier. He was initially unable to help her because he was vastly outnumbered by MacKenzie clan members. Toward the end of episode 5, both Dougal and Claire found themselves surrounded by the same officer and his soldiers.

Dougal and Claire are seen going with the soldiers to their fort in the promo video. Claire will once again meet Captain Jack Randall at the fort. Readers who have been following the "Outlander" series will remember that Jack Randall tried to rape Claire in the very first episode.

The interrogation of Claire begins again but this time it will be by the British troops instead of the MacKenzie clan. Jack Randall asks Claire who she is and what she is doing there. Her loyalties are once again questioned.

Dougal will promise a war if the soldiers continue to act the way they were in "Outlander" episode 2. Jamie is once again flogged by Jack. Dougal has been showing the scars on Jamie's back to people in different towns to gather support and collect money for an uprising. Jack had previously flogged Jamie when he attempted to stop British soldiers from harming his sister.

In the previous episode, Claire tried to warn Dougal and the others that a war with the British was a futile exercise. Her actions were misconstrued by Douagal as an attempt

to sow the seeds of doubt in the minds of the people.

The friendship between Claire and Jamie is deepening. Does the flogging of Jamie in "Outlander" episode 2 suggests that Jack Randall has spared his life? Check out the video below to have a glimpse of the show's latest episode.
