'Outlander' Season 1 Spoilers: Claire Randall Tied Into Chains As She Tells Jamie Fraser 'She Never Counted On Loving Him'
"Outlander" will return to television screens on April 4. The popular Star TV show left the fans at the cliffhanger when Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) was taken prisoner by Black Jack in the finale of the first half of its freshman season. Since then, fans can't wait to see what lies ahead in the upcoming episodes. However, as a surprise to the fans, the network has a released a 20-second trailer giving a glimpse into the remaining half of "Outlander" season 1. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]
In the trailer Claire can be seen saying, "I never counted on loving you." She seems to be talking to Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and is tied into chains as she is pulled through the courtyard. According to Zap2It, this is where Claire has been taken captive for being a witch. Moreover, it is also being speculated that this is the scene in which Claire has professed her love for Jamie and has also revealed to him that she is travelling back in time and is married to Frank.
Jamie is shown in a sword fight with an unknown person. Meanwhile, there is lot on offer from Castle Leoch. Fans will get to see more of Dougal (Graham McTavish) and Colum MacKenzie (Gary Lewis) if the trailer is anything to go by.
Apart from the intriguing trailer, the makers of the show have also initiated a 25 -days countdown where exclusive content from the show will be released on the Facebook and Twitter pages. This is reportedly a way to engage the audience and keep their interest going. The countdown will feature cast interviews, never-before-seen footage, holiday recipes, e-cards and other things, as further reported by the website.
"Outlander" is based on novels by Diana Gabaldon. It tells a story of nurse Claire Randall who is torn between two lives. The show is created by Ronald D. Moore and has been produced by Left Bank Pictures. The show was met with much praise upon its premiere. It has already been renewed by second season, which will be based on the Diana's second book in the series called "Dragonfly in Amber."
