The producers of “Outlander” Season 2 have shared a new picture of the two main characters Jamie and Claire. The two characters still appear to be in love, in spite of the events in the first season.

The new picture, posted on the official Facebook page of the TV series, shows Jamie (Sam Heughan) lovingly embracing his wife Claire (Caitriona Balfe). Claire can be seen smiling in the arms of her husband.

Claire had a difficult time in dealing with Jamie’s depression in the previous season. Some of the events in the last season seemed to have put their relationship in turmoil. However, the new pictures confirm that Jamie may have recovered mentally and the romance between the two is set to continue.

The couple may get to attend some glamorous parties while they are in France. A previously released picture of the two characters shows them all dressed up at a social gathering. The costumes of both Jamie and Claire in “Outlander” Season 2 appear vastly different from the first season.

Jamie will also get to meet some of the noblemen in France. Another picture posted on Facebook shows Jamie and his loyal companion Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) meeting with a few French gentleman in a big hall. The elaborate set for this scene has a massive painting on the wall in the background, which shows the opulence of France in that time period.

The main purpose of Jamie and Claire for travelling to France is to try and stop the Jacobite rebellion. They are also on the run from British soldiers, who will be looking for them after the events of the first season.

“Outlander” Season 2 is expected to premiere sometime in March or April 2016. The new season will be introducing a large number of French characters, who Jamie and Claire will get to meet in France.
