'Outlander' Season 2 spoilers: Loss of baby 'changes everything' prepare for a war
“Outlander” Season 2 cast members Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan and Executive Producer Ronald D. Moore appear in a new behind-the-scenes video to talk about what happens next in the TV series. The show is heading towards a major war between the British and the Scottish clans.

Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) did their best to change history and stop the Jacobite Rebellion from happening in France. But, despite their best efforts the rebellion is going ahead. After the heart-breaking events in France, the couple decided to relocate to Scotland.
“The loss of a child for Claire and Jamie changes everything,” Balfe said in a new video posted on Entertainment Weekly. The actress pointed out that the couple is back in their home in Lallybroch, among the people they love. They enjoy their time together very briefly and then a letter arrives that tells them that Prince Charles (Andrew Gower) is in Scotland and is raising an army.
Moore teased that the next few episodes of “Outlander” Season 2 focuses on the war. Jamie decides that since they are not able stop the rebellion they should try and make sure that the Scottish clans win. Heughan said the he being a Scotsman and knowing about all these historical battles; it was a dream come true.
Familiar characters like Dougal Mackenzie (Graham McTavish), Rupert (Grant O’Rourke) and Angus (Stephen Walters) will be joining Jamie on the road. The army will make camp and Jamie will start training the men, with Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) also helping with the training.
One of the scenes from a future episode of “Outlander” Season 2 teased in the video shows Claire being worried about the Battle of Culloden. But, Claire and Jamie have no option but fight in the failed rebellion, Balfe said.
