'Outlander' Season 3: Print Shop scene just filmed; Behind the scenes pictures
The highly anticipated Print Shop scene in “Outlander” Season 3 may have been filmed already. Co-executive Producer Maril Davis may have witnessed the filming personally on the set. Meanwhile, Matthew B. Roberts shared new behind-the-scenes pictures for the fans.
The producers have been teasing the Print Shop scene for a while now, with pictures of a printing machine and other set pieces. Balfe confirmed that the scene will be filmed this week. Now, Producer Davis revealed online that it was an exciting day on the set, as they were filming something she has been waiting to see.
The producer had previously said that the most exciting scene for her this time around is the Print Shop. It appears the team filmed it, or at least the first take. It takes an average of 12 days to film each episode, with several takes for each scene.
Filming of “Outlander” Season 3 has almost reached the halfway mark. The team will soon shift to South Africa to film scenes of the ship journey, and the Caribbean. The filming schedule currently is from Sunday to Thursday, due to availability of locations and actors, but this may change when the team shifts base from Scotland.
The next season will start to see the diminishing role of Tobias Menzies both as Black Jack and Frank. New characters will be introduced next year, and some storylines like that of Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin) will get more screen time.
While the cast members are busy filming, Balfe is getting congratulated by her colleagues and fans. The actress has been nominated for the Golden Globes Award for her performance on the show.
Meanwhile, Roberts has shared new “Outlander” Season 3 behind-the-scenes pictures. The producer showed some stunning landscape of Scotland in some of the locations where they are filming.
