'Outlander' Season 3 production update: Scenic beauty of Scotland teased online
New behind the scenes pictures from the production set of “Outlander” Season 3 have been released online. The producers of the show have teased pictures from Scotland that show the country’s scenic beauty. Production Designer Jon Gary Steele has also shared some pictures of the sets.
After spending some time in France, Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) returned to Scotland in the previous season. Even in the future; Claire returned to Scotland to attend the funeral of an old friend.
The next season is expected to pickup from where Season 2 left off. With Jamie rushing to join the Battle of Culloden and Claire thinking about going back in time through the magical stones at Craigh Na Dun.
Production of the next season is in full swing. Co-Executive Producer Maril Davis has now shared a behind the scenes picture from Scotland. She wrote sarcastically that it was another “ugly” day for “Outlander” Season 3, while sharing a beautiful picture.

Executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts has also been sharing pictures from the production set. His most recent picture is in black and white. The picture shows a small road in between tall trees. “The slow lane,” the producer wrote in his post.

Meanwhile, production designer has also been teasing some pictures from the sets. Steele has not written anything on most of his pictures and has left it to the fans to guess and speculate about what the pictures are about.

“Outlander” Season 3 is based on Diana Gabaldon’s book “Voyager.” The main plot this time around will take some of the characters to the Caribbean. Jamie and Claire are set to meet a new set of characters, after they had to say goodbye to some dear friends and a few enemies in the previous season.
