'Outlander' Season 3: Sam Heughan arrives in Studio at Glasgow; New picture surfaces online
Production of “Outlander” Season 3 could commence soon. A picture of Sam Heughan at the Glasgow studio surfaced online, suggesting that the preparations are well underway. There hasn’t been any official confirmation about the start date of filming by the producers yet.
A picture of Heughan (Jamie Fraser) has been posted on Sam Heughan Resource. The picture was reportedly taken at the Glasgow studio just a few days ago. Steve Kent, who published the picture on Twitter, appears to have taken it down since then.
Commenting on the picture, some of the fans wished the actor for the next season and expressed their eagerness to watch it. It is unclear if the actor had gone to the studio for costume fitting or a script read. More details about the filming schedule are expected to be announced soon.
Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) had been split up towards the end of the last season. The two characters were living in different timelines and about 20 years have passed since they last met.
There will not be any surprise time jumps in “Outlander” Season 3. The show will begin right from where the previous season left off, with Jamie and Claire apart, Diana Gabaldon has confirmed, STV reports.
Gabaldon teased that Jamie’s storyline will begin at Culloden. The TV series is expected to show the aftermath f the Battle of Culloden. The events on the show this time are based on the book “Voyager.”
The story in “Outlander” Season 3 will be told from three different perspectives, Gabaldon revealed. There will be Jamie’s perspective, Claire’s perspective and also their daughter Brianna’s (Sophie Skelton) perspective. The Frasers are not expected to meet quickly, but when they do; the story takes a more linear form. A set of new characters will also be introduced this time around.
