'Outlander' season 4: Filming tug o war in the 1960s
The cast and crew of “Outlander” season 4 will be filming some fun and interesting scenes in Scotland this month. According to a casting announcement, they will be filming a few Highland games with extras, the details of which have surfaced online.
According to a report by Outlander TV News, the new casting announcement reveals that they are looking for men to build a Highland team. The scene will be set in the 1960s, in which extras will play games like tug o war.
The extras cast in this scene will have to undergo costume fitting in Cumbernauld Studios from April 9 to 13. Filming will take place in Pollock Park from April 18 to 22. The announcement doesn’t say if the extras get to film with any of the main cast members.
It looks like the Outlander team will have more fun this month on set. Filming of the Highland games should be great to watch on screen, just as it should be an exciting scene to shoot.
It should be noted that the cast and crew have filmed such games before. Viewers will remember that Dougal (Graham), Jamie (Sam Heughan), Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix), Angus (Stephen Walters) and the others played some shinty together. Looks like there will be some scenes reminiscent of those days in the upcoming season of the TV series.
“Outlander” season 4 is set to air sometime later this year. An exact release date is yet to be announced. Viewers will get to see Scotland again, but the story will soon begin to shift to the American colonies starting this year.
